Carbon Accounting

Carbon Accounting

Corporate, financed and product-level emissions, calculated with one consistent method, emission-factor governance and data-quality scoring.

Carbon Accounting

GHG Protocol: Scope 1–3

The GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and Scope 3 Standard are the basis for almost every emissions disclosure. I build inventories from organisational boundary to emission-factor governance, with data-quality scoring, uncertainty and an audit trail.

Applies to
KPIs I calculate
Scope 1
Direct emissions from fuels, processes and refrigerants
Scope 2 location- and market-based
Purchased energy, both methods
Scope 3 Categories 1–15
Upstream and downstream value chain
Emission intensity
Per € revenue, per unit or per m²
Data-quality score
Primary versus secondary data, per category
Uncertainty range
Quantified uncertainty of the inventory

PCAF Financed Emissions

The PCAF Standard is the common method for financial institutions to measure the emissions they finance, invest in or insure. I calculate attribution factors, emissions and data-quality scores by asset class, and connect them to targets and disclosure.

Applies to
KPIs I calculate
Attribution factor
Outstanding amount over EVIC or total equity + debt
Financed Scope 1, 2 and 3
Attributed emissions per asset class, tCO2e
Economic emission intensity
tCO2e per €m invested or lent
WACI
Weighted average carbon intensity of the portfolio
Insurance-associated emissions
Emissions attributed to underwriting
PCAF data-quality score
Weighted score 1 to 5

Product Carbon Footprint

Customers and regulators increasingly ask for emissions per product, not only per company. I calculate product carbon footprints aligned with ISO 14067 and integrate supplier-specific data into corporate Scope 3.

Applies to
KPIs I calculate
Cradle-to-gate PCF
kgCO2e per declared unit up to the factory gate
Cradle-to-grave PCF
Including use phase and end of life
Life-cycle stage breakdown
Materials, production, transport, use, end of life
Primary data share
Share of footprint based on supplier-specific data
